He was predeceased by : his parents, Neal McDonald and Gertrude Carroll McDonald; and his siblings, Teresia McDonald Davis, Carl McDonald and Jack McDonald.

He is survived by : his wife Louise Laney McDonald; his sons, Rickey McDonald (Michelle) and Brian McDonald (Sharon); his grandsons, Blake McDonald and Brett McDonald (Amber); and also Eddie Arrowood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
