He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Cooper and Myrtle Keener Cooper of Cherokee; and his siblings, Jesse Clement of Cherokee, Dixie Arneach of Cherokee, Sue Owle of Cherokee, Barbra Strickland of Cherokee, Frances Collins of Franklin and James A. Cooper of Cherokee.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wilma Morris and Candler R. Cooper of Cherokee; his sons, Robert A. "Noodle" Cooper (Tina Bridges) of Cherokee and Casey M. Cooper (Jill Carpenter) of Cherokee; and his grandchildren, Katherine, Jackson and Mary. He is also survived by his sons, their wives and his grandchildren.
