She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hardy and Nellie Hardy; and her sister Alice M. Schindler. She is survived by: her children, Patty Haynes (Tommy) of Mill Creek, Ernie Small (Georgiana) of Mill Creek, Jimmy Small of Mill Creek and Bobby Small of Newport; and her grandchildren, Lori Ford of Morehead City, Ryan Small, Kyle Small (Blair) of Mill Creek, Anthony Braxton, Jared Braxton, Joel Braxton and Jessica Small.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3448 Mill Creek Road, Newport, North Carolina 28570.
