It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Hord of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Raymond Hoyle and Hattie Abernathy Hoyle; her husband Everett Hord; her siblings, Gene, Bill, Coleman, Don, Dale Hoyle, Joann Lovelace, Linda Willis and Margie Vess; and her stepmother Myrtle Hoyle.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Hord (Glenna) and Beth Thomas (Matt); her grandchildren, Brian Hord (Joy), Chris Hord and Harrison Newton; her great grandchildren, Gage, Ella, Rhaya and Cole Hord; her sisters, Sue Thornburg, Janet Helms (Michael) and Kathy Weaver; and her stepdaughter Cindy Clark.
