It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annie Mae Short of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Stowe Melton Black and Lula Mae Gilmore Black; her husband Loyd R. Short; her son Steve Short; and her siblings, Ruby Clough, Faye Quinn, Paul "Tobe" Black and Johnny Black.
She is survived by : her caregiver Roy Short; and her grandchildren, Hannah Short (Kyle), David Ramsaur (Alaina) of Norfolk Virginia, Jett Cronland, Charlie Mae and Beckett Ramsaur. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
