It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Becky Wood of Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rhodes Hoover and Ruth Finger Hester; and her brother Phillip Buchanan. She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Mosteller; her grandsons, Cooper York, Parker York and Paxton York; her close friends, Beth York, Dianne Jenkins, Callie Wofford, Darlene Risk, Peggy McSwain and Pam Anthony; and her sister Sandra Hunter (Anthony Grove Church).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 E Main St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Anthony Grove Baptist Church (100 Anthony Grove Rd, Crouse, NC 28033). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery (300 E Church St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
