She was predeceased by: her mother Addie Mae Gibson; and her siblings, Danny Hudson, Teresa Laircey, Cindy Hudson and Brenda Fortner.
She is survived by: her children, Raeford Pennington Jr. (Teresa), Howell Sisk, Scott Sisk and Bertha King (Jeff); her siblings, Tony Laircey, Jeffery Laircey and Cathy Johnson Sahms; and her daughter-in-law Rebecca Sisk. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven-great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (201 N Houser St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
