He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hunt and Sarah Cook Hunt; his wife Dorothy; his son Robert Hunt; and his brother Ralph Hunt.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Carswell (Dean); his siblings, J. W. Hunt (Mima), Ophis Hunt (Millie), Ruth Ann Bowman (Pearly) and Shirley Nally (Wyman); and his grandchildren, Jake Hunt (Lacey), Nathan Carswell (Melody), Nicole Hodges (Devin) and Chase Carswell. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
