We announce the death of Cynthia Poe (Cherryville, North Carolina), who passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 58. Cynthia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Vivian Barr; and her sister Cheryl Barr. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Mark Poe; her sons, Andrew and Matthew; her father Melvin Barr; her parents-in-law, Gary and Rebecca Poe; her siblings, Christopher Barr and Tammy Kralovic (Andy); her brother-in-law Darrell Poe (Marianne); and her nieces and nephews, Sophia, Jackson, Preston Barr, Andrea Kralovic and Abbey Poe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Wesleyan Church and VIA Health Partners – Cleveland County.
