He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Clifton and Sarah Mabel Farnsworth Beam; and his siblings, Claude Kermit Beam and Mary Julia Beam Nail. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Plonk Beam; his children, Shannon Beam Morris (Drew) and David Marion Beam II; and his granddaughters, Audrey Ellen Morris Mehl (Nathan), Sarah Elizabeth Morris and Ella Mintz Beam.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (1203 St Marks Church Rd, Cherryville, NC 28021).
