He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Pinkney Eaker, Sr. and Annie Mae Thomas Eaker; and his sisters, Juanita Porter and Carolyn Brittain. He is survived by: his wife Martha Fitch Eaker; his children, Jason Eaker (Stephanie), Joy Eaker Summer (Steve) and Sara Eaker Brunner; his son-in-law Mike Brunner of Cherryville; his grandchildren, Shane Summer (Kristin), Makenzie Summer (Jared), Kerragan Brunner, Kennedy Brunner, Troy Brooks and Sara Brooks; his great grandchildren, Rylee Summer and Allie Summer; his sisters, Jenny Williams of Shelby, Kay Rochester of Cherryville and Gail Sparks of Gastonia; his siblings-in-law, Ruby Sechriest of Forest City, Dewey Fitch (Brenda) of Cherryville and Frank Fitch (Barbara) of Mooresboro; and his close friend Dennis McCombs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
