He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby (Shuford); his sons, Robert and Randy; his sisters, Annie Faye, Joyce Herlick (Ed) and Ruth Stamey; his grandson Ronald Wallace, Jr.; and his son-in-law Tony Poteat.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Poteat, Peggy Wallace (Ronald) and Gary; his brothers, Thomas (Betty) and Norris (Myra); and his brother-in-law Jim Stamey. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
