He was predeceased by: his father Fred Columbus; and his sister Dorothy Day Hayes. He is survived by: his son Jason; his daughter-in-law Stacie Day; his granddaughters, Maggie and Ila Day; his nieces and nephews, Jeff Hayes, Alison (A. J. Hayes), Coleman Hayes, Kathy Morelock, Ashley Hayes Goodson and Kevin (Addison Goodson); and his stepson Dink (Stephanie Black).
