He was predeceased by: his father Hershel Lackey; his brothers, Don Lackey and Jerry Lackey; his son-in-law David Propst; and his grandson Jason Harmon Lowe.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Biggerstaff Lackey; and his children, John Harmon Lackey, Jr., Daniel Robert Lackey and Debra Lackey Propst (Kenneth Morgan). He is also survived by four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
