We bid farewell to Kay Ramirez of Cherryville, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 29, 2026 at the age of 72. Kay touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Roosevelt Berry and Myrtle Ferry Huffman Berry; and her siblings, Marshall Berry, Clara Williams, Evelyn Bean, Thelma Buff and Lucille Gregory.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Ramirez; her children, Amber Ramirez Wells (Jonathan) of Shelby and William F. Ramirez, Jr. (Emily) of Chesterfield, VA; her grandchildren, Elias Wells, Ephraim Wells, Jack Ramirez and James Ramirez; and her brother David Berry of Hickory. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home (405 N Dixie St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel (405 N Dixie St, Cherryville, NC 28021).
