With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ken Mayhew (Cherryville, North Carolina), who passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Edwin, Sr. and Evelyn Lee Mayhew (Dellinger); his former wife Frances Elaine Craft; his son Steven Eugene Mayhew; and his sister Catherine Day.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Burgess Mayhew; his daughter Catherine Mayhew Prince (Gregory Mark); his stepdaughter Fielding Randall Yelverton (Joshua); his grandchildren, Natalie Pulley (Ryan), Marcia Prince and Greg Prince; his stepgrandchildren, Benjamin and Pearce Yelverton; and his great grandchildren, Laine and Connor Pulley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the First United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
