She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pink Carpenter and Mary Lee Earl; and her siblings, Elsie Carpenter, Doug, Ken, Clayton, Barry, Max, Dan and Litton Carpenter.
She is survived by: her husband David Franklin; her children, Robert Franklin (Joanna) of Cherryville, Johnny Franklin, Frank Franklin and Jeanette Franklin; and her siblings, Wanda Carpenter, Ted Carpenter (Jessie) of Lincolnton and Donald Carpenter of Lincolnton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
