She was predeceased by : her parents, Burrell Toney and Minnie McFarland Toney; her husband Carl Owens, Jr.; her children, Tony Owens, Rebecca Jaynes Dalton and Margie Jones; and her sister Rachel Johnson (Hubert Langford).
She is survived by : her son Donald Owens of Shelby; her sisters, Norma Hoyle of Lawndale and Janice Kaye Eudy of Mint Hill; her grandchildren, Steve Jaynes, Joy Jaynes, Robin Short and Donald Owens, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Cody Short, Matthew Short, Hannah Page and James Dakota Owens.
