He is survived by: his wife Patsy Ledford Denton; his children, Chris Denton (Denise) of Morganton and Leigh Ann Thompson (Anthony) of Wendell; his grandson Marc Denton; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Pritchard and Carlee Beam; his brothers, David Denton (Myrtle) of Morganton and Danny Denton of Connelly Springs; and his son-in-law Randy Beam of Fallston.
