With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Keith Whitesides of Cherryville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Whitesides and Dorothy Mickle Whitesides; and his brother Fred L. Whitesides. He is survived by: his sister Leesa Workman (Dennis); his sibling's children, Dana Gantt, Kevin Gantt (Lisa), Brent Gantt (Melissa), Chip Whitesides (Ruthie), David Whitesides, Ronnie Workman and Laura Menendez (Mark); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashley Wortman (Jacob), Ethan Gantt (Graysen), Lauren Gantt, Clint Gantt (Priscilla), Fallon, Larysa Menendez and Lauren Menendez; his sister-in-law Phyllis Whitesides; Banx Gantt.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745).
