Ruth Godfrey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Godfrey of Cherryville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Foster and Dora Lula Conner Foster; her husband Charles J. Godfrey; her sons, Robert, David and Walter Godfrey; and her brother Edwin Foster.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Godfrey (Judy) and Sarah Farmer (Eddie); her daughter-in-law Barbara Godfrey of Cherryville; and her grandchildren, Travis Farmer, Luke Farmer, Chris Godfrey, Shane Godfrey, Charlye Jarrett, Kim Godfrey and David Godfrey. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bess Chapel Methodist Church (601 N Pink St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
