She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Burt Payne and Velcie Whisenant Payne; her husband Clyde McSwain; and her siblings, Ray, Richard, Calvin, Bobby, Alfred, Donald, Inez Payne, Edna Russell and Ann Biggerstaff.
She is survived by: her children, Terry McSwain (Tammy) of Cherryville, Kevin McSwain of Cherryville, Andy McSwain (Shenan) of Shelby, Teresa Allen (Mike) of Cherryville and Renee Willis (Tony) of Lincolnton; her sister Joyce Hoffman; her grandchildren, Mark Allen (Jennifer), Derek Allen, Jason Allen, Tiffany Dalton (Brad), Terra McSwain (Mike Myrin), Emily Willis, Tyler McSwain (Olivia) and Catelyn Bowen (Jacob); and her great grandchildren, Carson, Madeline, Sawyer, Raegan, Olivia, Deacon, Daylee, Wilder, Finn, Willa Mae, Zachary and Braelyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
