It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Solomon Willis (Cherryville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his sister Debra Lynn Willis; and his grandparents, Yates, Annie Haynes Powell, Leroy and Inez Willis.

He is survived by : his parents, Eddie Lee Willis and Brenda Powell Willis; his sister Beth Plotts (Tim) of Asheville; and his nieces, Krista Brooke Weaver (Jason) and Casey LuAnn McDonald (Jon). He is also survived by three great nieces, one great nephew and several aunts and uncles.

His crazy love for her always made me laugh. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. He brought so much life to the college and he will be so missed. <3”

“Dr. Willis was one of my math Instructors at CCC I was able to have him for a full semester and loved him, I even tried to get him some dolly stuff for his collection. I was lucky enough to see him some this year when he came by chick fil a. Dr. Willis always had a smile, he was always patient and always helped us. He showed us videos of dolly, him talking to dolly on live and even showing his dolly room which was amazing at that. He will always look down on all of us. Rest in peace Dr. Willis.”
