He is survived by: his stepchildren, Kimberly Hughes of Gastonia and Scott Hughes (Vicki Deubler) of Kennesaw, GA; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hughes and Krista Barnhorn (Bobby); his great grandchildren, Jayden Hughes and Amelia Barnhorn; and his siblings, Barbara Wright and Lanny Waterson.
He had a charitable heart, donating to many organizations, and had a soft spot for children.
