He was predeceased by : his father J. T. Lott. He is survived by : his mother Ruth Ann Franklin Jenkins of Shelby; his son Tommy J. Lott, Jr. (Bridget) of Bessemer City; his grandchildren, Brentley, Brayden and Maddox; his sister Rhonda Whitaker of Blacksburg, SC; his nieces, Rose Anna Navey, Stephanie Jackson, Marissa Philbeck and Summer Hanson; and his nephew Chase Jackson.
