He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harley and Fannie Burr Cochran; his former wife Barbara Newton Cochran; and his siblings, Sid Cochran, Dockie Cochran, Leslie Cochran, Dewey Cochran, Pearlee Mason and Fred Cochran.
He is survived by: his wife Dot Cooper Cochran; his children, Michael Cochran (Angie), Wayne Cochran (Sharon), Paula Cochran and Diane Jackson (Jonathan); his stepchildren, Janice Hovis (Mitchell) and Lynn Fraley (Robert); and his siblings, Mary Ingle, Geraldine Gunter and Cliff Cochran (Sharon). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at 271 Camp Rotary Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
