Guy Mitchell Benfield Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Guy Mitchell Benfield of China Grove, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Mitchell Benfield and Doris Elaine Lunsford Benfield; and his sister Phyllis Brosh. He is survived by: his sister Cathy Matthews (Ronny); his nephew Mark Lefler (Melissa); his great-nephew Sonny Lefler; his great-nieces, Lexi and Taylor Lefler; and his aunt Joyce Bonds.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the South China Grove Baptist Church (501 Haney St, China Grove, NC 28023). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (202 Government Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
