He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Joan Gilbert (Pekar); his sons, Michel Gilbert Jr., David Gilbert (Christina) and Stephen Gilbert (Katie Lauer); and his siblings, Will Gilbert, Paul Gilbert and Diane Gilbert Foshay. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; several cousins; nieces and nephews.
