He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Gillespie; his wife Doris Adams Gillespie; his sister Sondra Mills; and his brother-in-law Tommy Mills. He is survived by: his children, Angela Gillespie Cash (Douglas) and Thomas Joel "TJ" Gillespie, Jr. (Jennifer Ensley); his stepson John Chamberlain (Toni); his grandchildren, Justin Rickner, Brandon Rickner (Hannah Perkins), Bryan Cash (Lizzy) and Megan Cash; his stepgrandchildren, Ashlyn and Austin Harrity; his great grandchildren, Sophia Rickner and Lylah Cash; his sister Karen Giampetro (Paul); and his girlfriend Pam Larue. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
