He is survived by: his wife Janet Efird Dixon Parsons; his children, William Steven Parsons, II (Julie), Scott Wayne Parsons (Julie), Sandy (Casey), Tabatha Wing, Jessica Sides and Joseph Dixon; and his sisters, Dagney Parsons Helms of Charleston, SC and Agatha Parsons Overcash of Kannapolis.
Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church or to St. Jude Children's Research, as both were important to him during his time.
