Duane Summey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Summey of Chocowinity, North Carolina, born in Nevada, Iowa, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Mark Summey; his sister Gretchen Summey; and his granddaughter Dana Summey. He is survived by : his wife Mary Summey of Raleigh, NC; his stepchildren, Britt Carter (Patty) of Raleigh, NC, Jay Carter (Charmaine) of Mt. Airy, NC and Emma Carter of Raleigh, NC; and his granddaughters, Katie Thompson (Steven) of Atlanta, GA and Alyssa Kayo (David) of Laguna Beach, CA. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
