She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Schmidt and Helen Peterson Schmidt; and her husbands, William Lewis Luessen and Fritz Tanner. She is survived by : her daughters, Babette Luessen of Chocowinity and Deann Newman (Bob) of Cary; her stepchildren, Fritz Tanner Jr. (Sheila) of Washington, Bryant McCarthy (Tim) of Wilson and Ruth Wilkins (David) of Virgina Beach, VA; and her grandson Michael Newman (Erin) of New Orleans, LA..
