He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Spain and Richard Spain Sr.; and his mother-in-law Ethel Harris. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Spain (Ayers); his siblings, Jeffery Spain (Virginia) of Washington, NC, Debra Watson (David) and Tammy Alligood (G. Kelly); and his father-in-law Jasper Harris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
