He is survived by: his wife Lydia Alice Dixon; his son Matthew Dixon (Kara) of Vanceboro; his adoptive children, Rita Cooksey of Washington, Sara Mayo (David) of Aurora, Paul Galland, Jr. (Ashlie) of Washington and James Jarrett, Jr. of Chocowinity; his siblings, Jesse Dixon (Joan) of Chocowinity, Phillip Dixon (Jonita) of Washington, Barbara Adams of Maysville, Lillian Armstrong (Jerry) of Chocowinity and Sharon Carrow (Paul) of Washington; his grandchildren, Rebekah Villalobos (Abel), Cheyenne Wood (Cody), Daryan Faircloth, Jordan Kolibabek (Ryan), Gabrielle Dixon, Maria Wainwright, Alex Wainwright and Wade Mayo; and his great grandchildren, Miguel Villalobos, Mariah Villalobos, Alicia Villalobos, Alexandria Howell and Olivia Wood.
