It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Dan Reed of Claremont, North Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dot Reed; his parents, Maureen Brown Reed and Marin Reed; his brothers, Ray Morris Reed and Arnold Dean Reed; his sister-in-law Paula Reed; and his sons-in-law, Terry Martin and Von Abernathy.
He is survived by: his children, Andrea Reed Skyler (Robert Skyler), Gregory Reed and Karen Reed Martin; his grandchildren, Courtney Smith Oakley (Dustin Oakley), Carmelo Pampillonio and Christian Pampillonio; his great grandchild Rose Oakley of Indiana; his sister Carol Pope Hedrick (Steve Hedrick); and his brother-in-law Wayne Pope (Rona Saunders). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
