He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Carrigan and Mabel Abernathy Carrigan; his uncle Clarence Abernathy; and his aunts, Treva Sweezy, Ann Howell, Margaret Huffman, Jean Carter and Marie Pope.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Woodie Carrigan; his daughter Wendy Carrigan Ratcliff of Troutman; his stepchildren, Thomas Triplett, DJ Sweet of Claremont and Ashley Triplett of Lenoir; his brother Glenn Carrigan (Doris) of Bethlehem; his uncles, J. W. Abernathy (Kathryn) of Claremont and Homer Abernathy (Virginia) of Claremont; his grandsons, Hayes Ratcliff, Blake Ratcliff and Eli Ratcliff; his stepgrandchildren, Hunter Lackey, Lexie Lackey, Peighton Reed, Noah Sweet, Seth Sweet, Gavin Sweet and Emmah Sweet; and his pet Douglas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (5759 Bolick Rd, Claremont, NC 28610). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
