He was predeceased by: his parents, Berlyn Ward and Margaret Alexander Ward; and his siblings, Charles Ward and Marie Tynch. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Belch Ward; his sons, Clay Ward (Kaitlynn) of Tabor City, NC and Joseph Ward of Clarendon, NC; his sisters, Joan Speer of Gadsden, AL and Betty Phillips of Edenton, NC; his grandchildren, Mallory Ward, Eli Ward and Lilly Ward; and his in-laws, Lloyd and Kay Belch of Edenton, NC. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
