She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Grover Phipps and Gracie Jane Sarvis Phipps; her husband Joe Deloach Cox; and her brothers, Robert Glenn Phipps and Don Carlton Phipps.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Cox Fowler (Jeffery) of Clarendon, NC and Joe Leon Cox (Amy Greene Cox) of Chadbourn, NC; her grandchildren, Scott Fowler, Cody Fowler, Aubrey Hardin and Holly Williams; and her sister Betty Phipps Haskett of Morehead City, NC.. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
