He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Earl Benson and Dorothy Mae Jones Benson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Irene Johnson Benson; his sons, Chris Benson (Jennifer) and Shane Benson (Jody); his siblings, Mark Benson (Wanda) and Pam Driver; and his grandchildren, Blake Benson, Morgan Benson, Garrett Benson, Carson Balance and Dalton Pate.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Casey Funeral Home & Cremations (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home & Cremations (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569).
