He is survived by: his wife Marvie J. Ferrell; and his children, Daphne Smithe (Allen) of Cameron, NC, Deborah Marks (Donald) of Sumter, SC, Iris D. Arrington (Glenn) of Clayton, NC, Terry Purdie (Steven) of Knightdale, NC, Stacey Bryant (James) of Charlotte, NC and Darius J. Ferrell, Jr. (Latricia) of Wendell, NC. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cumberland Memorial Gardens (4509 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304).
