We announce the death of Edward Elmore Ard of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 63. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. A. Kemery Ard and Betty Jean Watson Ard; and his wife Rene Ard. He is survived by: his brothers, Andrew Kemery "Kem" Ard, Jr. (Ellen) and Cecil Gregory Ard; his nieces and nephews, Merissa Ard-Crowley, Megan Ard, Johnathan Ard and Colin Ard (Charlotte Ard); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicole Crowley, Elaina Ard, Lucas Ard and Weston Crowley.

While flowers are accepted, memorial contributions in Eddie's name may also be made to a charity of one's choice.
