She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Gardner and Gladys Gardner; and her brother Michael Gardner. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy R. Cox; her children, Jill Jenkins (David), Jason Cox and Jon Cox; her grandchildren, Rebecca Jenkins, Maria Jenkins, Roscoe Cox and Ella Jean Cox (EJ); her brother Kim Gardner (Geri); and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Gardner (Michael) and Connie Adams (Tom).
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Clayton (411 N Fayetteville St, Clayton, NC 27520).
