Louise Pope Van Hoy Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2025, at the age of 81, Louise Pope Van Hoy (Clayton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, David Dallas Pope and Bertie Mahala Brummitt Pope; her significant other George Harding Van Hoy; her son Lynwood Van Hoy; and her siblings, Labron Pope, Verlon Pope, Ruben Pope, John Pope, Billy Pope, Virginia Benson, Loreana Baker and Carness Underwood.

She is survived by: her daughters, Wyndy Dudley (Greg) and Cyndy Van Hoy; her grandchildren, Hana, Andrew, Leila, Austin, Sam, Caylee, Noah and Rusty; her great grandchildren, Emma, Joseph and Aaliyah; and her siblings, George Pope and Elsie Smith.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home (12830 US 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, NC 27520). A memorial service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
