With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucy Jordan of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershel Ray and Lettie Inscore Ray; her husband Clyde Julian Jordan; her son Jay Chatham; her grandchildren, Brandon Artrip and Jennifer Chatham; and her siblings, Diane Hamilton, Libby Caudle, Pat Sealey, Beatrice Autry, Marie Autry, Leroy Ray, Hershel Ray, Aaron Ray and Otha Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Kelly of Four Oaks, Danny Chatham (Tammy) of Four Oaks and Bobby Chatham, Jr. (Vonda) of Willow Spring; and her siblings, Pearl Grady of Troy, Paul Ray of Bentonville and Danny Ray of Garner. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
