In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Melvin's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lassie "Ben" Edward Johnson and Lula Etta "Polly" Bailey Johnson. He is survived by: his son Melvin Zuni Johnson; his son-in-law Jason McCraw; his brothers, Bobby (Jan) and Tim (Lois); his siblings-in-law, Tori and Ronnie; and his friend Kim. He is also survived by extended family and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McLaurin Funeral Home (12830 US 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, NC 27520). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
