It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Nichols Byrd of Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 30, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Chalmers Byrd; her parents, John W. Nichols and Ruby Bryant Nichols; and her brother Durward Nichols. She is survived by : her brother J. W. (Annie Nichols) of Clayton; and also, Teresa Nichols Smith, Norwood of Wilmington and Diamond.
