He is survived by: his children, Judy A. Slane (James), David R. Fernald (Sandi) and Janet L. Fernald. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Mr. Fernald's memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
