With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbert Lee Sowell of Clayton, North Carolina, born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wilbert Lee Sowell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Sowell Sr. and Ruby Funderburk Sowell; and his brother Robert Sowell Sr.. He is survived by : his wife Lucille Johnson Sowell; his children, Wilbert Sowell Jr. and Roxanne Sowell; his daughter-in-law Roxanne Sowell (Wilbert Sowell Jr.); his grandchildren, Jasmine Sowell and Christopher Sowell; and his great grandchild Gianna Sowell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to: St. Jude's Children's Hospitals.
