With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dewey Boyce Edwards Jr. of Clemmons, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Wilson and Dewey B. Edwards, Sr.; his stepfather Jack Wilson; and his wife Frances Darby Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Missy Avent of Advance, NC, Lisa Cranfill (Jeff) of Advance, NC and Dewey Edwards III (Jodi) of Walkertown, NC.; his grandchildren, Mitchell Avent, Darby Avent and Lily Edwards; his great grandchildren, Sam and Tommy Avent; his brother Randy Edwards (Nancy) of Grapevine, TX; his stepbrother Greg Wilson of Albany, GA.; and his caregiver Mindy.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the River Oaks Community Church (1855 Lewisville Clemmons Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
