He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Blackwelder and Ressie Armstrong Blackwelder; and his siblings, Jim Blackwelder, Hubert Blackwelder, Annie Crabb, Betty Pierce and Ruth Torrence.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Carter Blackwelder; and his children, Kenneth Blackwelder, Elizabeth Bayne and Jennifer Corso (Heath). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
